‘Hey guys, I ditched my poles on the last run. Help me out?’
Hosting Bump! I’ve been lucky to visit a lot of places around the globe but I got to tell you – there’s no place like home. And biased or not – Canadians are damn good hosts. Laid back, welcoming, warm and easy going. Whistler Gay Ski Week is back at the top of its game – the whole village is proudly flying the rainbow flag and warmly welcoming visitors from around the world.
Whistler is stacked with activity options so you can either follow along and go from event to event on the Winterpride schedule or simply weave in and out – filling your free time with mountain sports like skiing, boarding, bobsled or even skeleton.

Claiming its place as a top global destination, Whistler has some seriously good eating options – top of my list is the Barefoot Bistro complete with champagne sabering in the cellar, an ice room for vodka tasting, live music, and oyster bar. The cuisine is impecably presented and the service is second to none.
Whistler’s top draw in my opinion is a really warm welcoming spirit. In a city that is mostly male year round and mostly straight at that – the village has embraced Ski Week and its visitors making it a must do on my winter list!
