Underwear Guyd: Top 5 Models of 2012

2

The Underwear Expert recently announced their Top 5 Underwear Models of 2012. Some GuySpy favorites made the list, and perhaps one or two you wouldn’t expect. We didn’t use the most scientific of methods here (hey, the pollsters were busy working on this year’s election). Instead, we compiled our favorites based on the buzz each of these models created on The Underwear Expert, how much the boys were searched on the Internet, and, let’s be honest, on how hot they are! Check out our top 5 models, and then head to The Underwear Expert for the Top 10 Underwear Models and Celebrities.

Colby Melvin

The Andrew Christian model’s Southern charm, good looks and outgoing personality, and the fact that he’s virtually everywhere right now definitely lands this handsome guy in the Top 5. His relationship with Brandon Robert Brown (they’ve been given the nickname ColBrandon) gave underwear fanatics a glimpse into his personal life, making him all that more accessible, and therefore popular. He’s a political activist, an LGBT spokesman, and a go-go dancer, too. What’s not to love?

Pablo Hernandez

Pablo won our hearts (and our bedroom key) when he posed for Thomas Synnamon earlier this year. It was his performance in the Andrew Christian video “A Brief Romance,” however, that really sealed the deal. He’s a good guy, you can just tell, and he looks like a hell of a lot of fun, too. He approaches his modeling with an acting background, and it’s obvious. Those eyes… are always telling a story.

David Beckham

The fact this guy is arguably one of the Top 5 most famous men in the world definitely helped him land on our list. It’s the fervor with which his fans devour his David Beckham Bodywear for H&M ads, however, that really got him this goal. We’ve literally seen him just about everywhere this year, as his H&M marketing team seemingly made a plan to have the man take over the world in his underwear. We’ve witnessed giant statues of the soccer god in cities across the United States, his picture projected onto the White Cliffs of Dover, and more photo campaigns than we can count.

Julian Gabriel

This guy graced the cover of DNA‘s sexiest men of 2012 issue. Do we need to say more? Mmm…no, we don’t think we do.

William Levy

Ok, let’s be honest. This is a stretch, especially since the guy hasn’t modeled since, oh…2004. He definitely has his third-place finish on Dancing with the Stars to thank for revitalizing interest in his photos, and ultimately, for landing him on this list. Before getting skeptical about his inclusion, however, let’s review some things. He looks damn fine in a singlet. He looks damn fine in see-through underwear. He looks damn fine in a jockstrap. Witness the beauty for yourself. Also, it seems as though the guy has a monster package. There, see why he’s suddenly popular again?

Gaymer Guyd: Game Review- Paper Mario: Sticker Star

0

I love Paper Mario and all its older games, but this game, like Super Paper Mario on the Wii, is not one of my favorites. Nintendo has kept the whole experience of the Paper Mario franchise, the adorable soundtrack, and the cute 2D graphics. But that is not enough for the gamers who want Paper Mario to be an RPG game.

The battle system is changed to a different play style. In order to attack, the player must consume a sticker. Equipment, skills, and abilities are all taken out. Leveling is taken out as well; instead, it is grinding for coins to buy more stickers. Gamers can find stickers on the exploration part, but there is a limited space of stickers that one can store in the “sticker album.” There is no more “zero damage block.” It is extremely hard to maintain survivability, as there is a limited space for putting in stickers, and gamers must “reset” the whole map in order to get mushrooms, if they’re about to run out. The game itself becomes repetitive and extremely monotonous in the end.

There are parts of the game where there are tedious walls that have puzzles that make no sense, and gamers will be punished in the end for not always knowing what to do. Nintendo should fix the glitches.

There are two things I like about the game; the experience and the graphics. The soundtrack of the game is stunning and mixes perfectly with the experience of how Mario wanders throughout the world. The color pops out at gamers with wondrous themes and many happy motifs. I love how the cartoon experience really gives the gamer the nostalgia of Paper Mario.

I love the graphics in the 3DS mode. The enhancement of the monsters FLYING out at you is the fun part. The 3D mode of the game is totally worth the purchase, as the 3DS has no game like this.

This game was a huge disappointment to those who adored the idea of RPG in Paper Mario. Still, I love the 3D enhancement for the graphics, and the details that the creators have placed in the game. I would give this game a 7 jumping boots out of 10.

I hope the next Paper Mario installment is amazing. If not, I hope they bring back the old style of the RPG. Check out the trailer for the game.

Adult Guyd: Colton Ford Takes a Holiday

0

So here we are…once again…the holidays!  Oy!

How come everyone I talk to about the holidays doesn’t want to acknowledge that they’re here? It’s too soon! I’m not ready! Make it stop! I remember when I was a kid how excited I was when the holidays were around the corner. That was before I had to deal with what the holidays are as an adult. Stressful!

Is it that we all feel an obligation to give gifts, to be happy, to connect with family, and to feel the joy? Is it that expectations run so high in tandem with the difficulty of re-creating year after year that magical wonderland we’ve all been so conditioned to attach to the holidays? It’s impossible, it continues to get more and more expensive, and it seems to be less about the spirit of the holidays and more about the necessity of giving.

If you can’t afford to give, if you don’t have friends and/or family to connect with, or you can’t connect due to logistics, if you are depressed and alone and the holidays just exacerbate those feelings of despair, then the spirit of the holidays is easily lost. It can be devastating.

I think that for many years I was very detached from the spirit of the holidays. I felt the stress of it all, the expectations that felt more and more difficult to realize and the burdens and obligations associated with the season. I also felt that I would never feel the same joy and magic that I did when I was a kid, and could never re-create it. So why try?

Over the past couple of years, though, I’ve realized that it’s not about re-creating the past, or meeting our conditioned idea of what the holidays should be. It’s about making the moment special for you whatever your circumstance and wherever you are. Easier said then done I know, but you can do it. If only by simply watching your favorite holiday movie, or eating your favorite holiday candy, or going ice skating, or taking a trip to the mall and watching the kids sit on Santa’s lap. It’s really about whatever you make it, and each year you can make it something.

Here’s to something special this holiday season!

Sex Guyd: The Kiss-Off

2

Sex Guyd David Pevsner answers your sex questions with a touch of anal.

Queer: My boyfriend of six months wants to either start having sex with other men, or have three-ways. He doesn’t believe monogamy is practical, and he says if he tells me about having sex, or if we have it together, it won’t be cheating. I don’t know how I feel about monogamy in the long run, but right now the thought of my boyfriend with another guy is unbearable. I’m afraid if I say no, he’ll do it behind my back and end up hurting me more. Any suggestions?

Part of the problem or the solution?

Anal:You’re at that weird six months moment where it’s serious enough that you can call yourself boyfriends but you’re not necessarily at the partner/hubby level. Y’all need to talk about the future, and it seems like you may want different things in the long run.   If you say no…yes…chances are he will do it behind your back. Have you talked about how you feel? It’s possible that if he knew it would upset you, you may be the guy who puts the brakes on your sleep-around man. On the other hand, monogamy isn’t for everyone, and it’s possible that you may never tie this guy down. Keep the lines of communication open, and only make an ultimatum if you absolutely must have “It’s me or them.” Just don’t be surprised if he says “Them.” And if he does, you were as mismatched a pair as Liza and David.

Queer: The guy I’m dating is hot and sexy and amazing in bed. But he won’t kiss me. The first time we slept together he said he had bad breath, and now he just turns away. I miss kissing him, and I also feel ugly—like I’m good enough for penetration but not love-making. I’ve told him how I feel, and he just shrugs it off and says he just hasn’t felt like kissing me. Is this a dealbreaker down the road?

Anal: No. It’s a deal-breaker now. Kiss him goodbye.

Queer: I’m dating a guy who shaves off all of his chest hair. It makes him look hot, but it pricks my skin when he’s on top of me. He’s a dancer at a club, and says the look is popular, and has even apologized for any discomfort. That said, when we start going at it, I get rug burn. I don’t know if I should just give up and stop rubbing against him, or demand he let it grow. Any ideas?

Anal: “I demand you let it grow!” A perfect way to lose the guy in six  deliberate words. What is with you queens making the lines in the sand? How about asking? How about letting him know that it’s gone beyond just “Ouch!” into “Holy Fucking Mother of God, that burns!” If it hurts that much and he sees you’re in pain and won’t offer to shave more often and keep it smooth as a stripper’s pubes (or grow it back so he can be that one out of ten hot-hot-hot hot dancers who keeps himself hairy and turns on guys like me and zillions of others), if he’s not willing to do something on his own…he’s a douche. Yes it’s his work, and yes, he has to appeal to the boys, but if he’s not willing to adjust, either suck it up and learn to enjoy the burn like Jane Fonda (along with the tit torture and CBT), or move on.

If you have a sex question for David, email him at davidpevsner@me.com.

Artist Guyd: Chris Pennington on Abstract Art, Neo Raunch and Otters…

0

Entertainment Guyd Danny Hilton talks to hunky, globe-roaming homo Chris Pennington about his abstract collage art, “Barbie Having Sex,” and Otters.

Where are you from and what do you do?

I moved to Barcelona from Los Angeles, but the big secret is that I grew up in a rural town in Alabama. I like to think of myself as an American gypsy or a buccaneer. I haven’t decided yet. But wherever I am, I paint.

How did you you get started?

I grew up drawing comic books. Superheroes with big bulges and girls with big tits. Gradually my interest in storytelling evolved into large-scale abstract collage and assemblage paintings. In L.A. I got involved with set painting, and later, event design. I love to get into new things.

Describe your style.

Rauschenberg meets Neo Rauch. It’s complex yet reconciled visually. There is that balance that is appealing. Somone called my work “a playground of elements,” and someone else said it was “couch art.” I’ll take ‘em both.

What’s your favorite piece?

“90 Feet Deep” is my favorite work. Ironically, it’s one of two from my Koreatown series that didn’t sell.

Have you had any disasters?

“Barbies Having Sex” acrylic 00’. A tender moment for me in art school.

Who’s your biggest inspiration?

David Wojnarowicz. Part painter, part writer. Total queer activist. I identify a lot with his mix of styles and how his collage works blend with his subconscious narrative style of writing. He also was a super bad-ass fag.

What’s the best piece of art, ever?

Probably something that your niece or nephew gave you. It’s honest.

What kind of guys do you like?

I’m super into Otters, so slim guys with hair (just like my husband!). But I can get into just about anything. When I was eighteen I had sex with a fifty-year-old. I was really into Daddies back then, and by the way, what a lucky bastard he was! And I swore that I would never be that “old” guy in his thirties or forties chasing Twinks. But then lo and behold one day I suddenly found myself totally hot for younger guys, like twenty-one to twenty-four. It freaked me out! But the two age groups (thirties and twenties) are really hot together. As long as one is old enough to drink and the other isn’t pushing a walker with tennis balls, it’s fine.

Chris Pennington spends his time between Sitges, Barcelona, and Los Angeles. You can check out his work here: http://www.chrispenningtonart.com/.
