As the weather begins to change and the leaves begin to fall, it’s the perfect time to start planning a winter get-away. And if you haven’t spent time in the jungles and on the beaches of Costa Rica, you’re missing out. This laid-back country lives up to its motto of Pura Vida (Pure Life), and embodies a live and let live attitude. With my trusty guide, Rob from Out-Adventures.com, I set out for some high-flying fun in the jungle around Manuel Antonio. Unfortunately, he didn’t wear the loin cloth I set out for him, but we still had some serious Tarzan fun!

Costa Rica essentially has two seasons – summer and “green.” “Green” is a creative spin on the rain that keeps the jungles healthy. Rob invited me to go tubing in the river, and though the rain was causing the river to swiftly rise, we also rose to the challenge and dove in for some white water adventure.  We holiday hard!  As they say in Costa Rica, pura vida!
