If you’ve never seen Coco Peru perform, we are truly sorry. Her last solo show, There Comes a Time, was as sublimely wonderful as her sublime, wonderful outfit and hairstyle.
Never fear, girls and boys who want to be girls, Coco’s back, performing a brand-new show, She’s Got Balls, coming to New York’s Laurie Beechman theater, from October 18 through October 21. That’s only four shows, guys and guys who play with dolls.
Lily Tomlin has described Ms. Peru as “One of the last great storytellers,” and we couldn’t agree more. And don’t think you can just stroll in on this act after a night of martinis and margaritas; the chick sells out faster than Mitt Romney at a billionaire fundraiser.
