Wii U is coming out on November 18th, 2012! Nintendo announced the release date and the price for the system this past week. The brief was held in Manhattan, and Reggie Fils-Aimes, as usual, did an amazing presentation for the Nintendo Wii U.
There will be two packages coming out on November 18th. The Black Wii U Deluxe Set is $349.99, and the White Wii U Basic Set is $299.99. Of course, Nintendo will not disappoint with just a gaming system for the Nintendo Wii U. The Deluxe Set contains an extra Nintendo Land video game, Wii U GamePad stand, Wii U GamePad cradle, and a Wii U Console stand, and it will be 32GB (24GB more than the basic set). The Deluxe set is the better deal, as Nintendo Land video game is going to be sold for 50$, getting the accessories for free is a great deal. The internal storage isn’t much of a big deal as there will be an SD card slot with the system. On top of that, the black color just looks better in your living room!
I have played many games on the Wii U at PAX Prime 2012. Games like Pikman 3, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Disney Epic Mickey 2 and Zomibe U were just some of the ones I enjoyed during my weekend at PAX Prime. But there were tons of other games that were not featured at PAX, like Bayonetta 2 and Monster Hunger Ultimate 3, which will be only on the Wii U. Reggie hinted that there will be Zelda game on the Wii U.
There will be a new function that Nintendo has not done before, called TVii. It is like a DVR right on the Wii U hand held system. You can watch TV right on the TV or the hand held system. There will be movies, TV shows, and sports on your small system or your TV. It will change how an entertainment system will perform in the future. TV and games in 1 system!
I am excited for the new system! Personally, I will be pre-ordering one, and I will be buying Pikmin 3, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Beyonetta 2, and Epic Mickey 2 as well.
