Impeding excitement about Madonna’s upcoming album and Superbowl performance is now getting another shot in the arm with news about a special duet…
The U.K.’s Daily Mirror has heard whispers that gay icons Kylie Minogue and Madonna could be performing together in the very near future.
According to the paper, Minogue will be celebrating 25 years in the entertainment industry this year and Britain’s ITV is planning a television special to mark the occasion.
A source for the Daily Mirror reveled that several duets were in the planning stages for the TV special and that one of them might just be “a dream duet with her pal Madonna.”
A Kylie/Madonna team up would definitely be a dream come true for many fans and given the mutual admiration the two pop performers have shown for one another over the years, a duet doesn’t seem like a farfetched idea. Minogue has covered several of Madonna’s songs during live performances in the past and when the Aussie performer was battling breast cancer in 2005 Madge showed her support by wearing a “Kylie” t-shirt.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that a duet performance from these divas is more than just a rumor, but in the mean time you can check out new photos and a video of Kylie’s ridiculously hot dancers taking it off for the camera here.
