It’s been a pretty eventful week in the entertainment world, and in the gay world alike. Several public figures have come out of the closet, including Olympic women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe. We’ve included a few of these “coming out” stories below that we feel are worth checking out.
While some have stepped out of the closet, others are ready to step into the Big Brother house as the cast of Season 14 is announced, including a gay hottie who we’re sure will be great … eye candy at least.  Check out these stories and other interesting posts from the week below.
Big Brother Season 14 Cast Announced

The just announced Big Brother Season 14 cast is your usual combo of characters. You have your pretty blond, tattoo’d “unique” girl, unemployed hottie, bespeckled nerd, Jersey Shore wannabe and Thor look-a-like. If that wasn’t enough to wet your appetite, joining the cast is another Hantz. How many of them are around? This time it’s Willie Hantz who’s a tankerman (whatever that is). Anderson Cooper Comes Out

Whoa, we all knew and it was something that was such hot topic of discussion, but now Anderson Cooper has officially set the record straight … I mean gay. The CNN anchor and talk show host discussed his decision to come out in a letter to political blogger and friend Andrew Sullivan, published earlier this week. Frank Ocean Comes Out

In case you don’t know who Frank Ocean is, he was highlighted by MTV as one of the artists to watch for in 2012 and he was also included in Beyonce’s list of her favorite songs of 2011. The talented R&B singer has just come out of the closet after speculation that he was gay. He wrote a very personal and powerful post on his tumblr page which we have included below.

 

In the posting, he talks about how he fell in love with a man four summers ago and how it change him forever. It was a difficult time (as you might expect) when he came to grips with his sexuality and understanding who he was. It’s a very beautifully written post and we encourage you to read it. Australia’s Olympics Swimming Team

Given that Australia is surrounded by water, it should come as no surprise that the nation boasts one of the best swimming teams around. Not only are they athletic, but they’re not to shabby to look at either. If the gold medal was given based on hotness factor, these Aussies are definitely frontrunners. Eamon Sullivan, James Roberts, James Magnussen and Matt Targett showed off their speedos and toned abs for a series of photos. Check them out here.
Which Glee Character Is Playing Gay In New Film
One of the stars of the hit show Glee is starring in a new, gay indie film that’s definitely worth checking out. The film follows a high school freshman, Nick Young, struggling with Asperger’s Syndrome, who idolizes his perfect older brother, Chaz. When Chaz dies, his seemingly perfect family unravels. Nick’s friends attend the funeral and help him get through his loss. After his death, Nick’s family find out Chaz was gay and pursued interests his parents didn’t know about. Find out which Glee actor is in the role and more about the film here.
