Summer 2012 will bring a heatwave across most of the country, forecast says. And with temperatures in some regions getting close to 100, this three-day weekend could be the start of a long hot season.
That doesn’t mean you have to look sticky and sweaty. The perfect way to protect yourself from all those rays — apart from sunblock — and still look trendy is the white suit.
According to GQ Magazine, “The idea is to dress it down, embrace the wrinkles and let it get a little dirty.” So don’t be afraid to wear it because it might get a stain or two. This will only add personality.
For a summer affair, pair it with a bold-pattern dress shirt, and give it a little twist by wearing sandals instead of shoes. Did someone say Patio Happy Hour? Ditch the white pants and, instead, wear a pair of distressed jeans for a hip, casual look. Get out of your comfort zone by pairing it with a V-neck shirt and some men’s espadrilles in neutral colors. You’ll have the ideal summer look.
And, unless you’re Tom Wolfe, don’t wear it every time you walk out the door.
