On September 27 I found myself dragged to the launch party of The Style Manual in the Design District in Dallas. I’d heard about the magazine awhile ago and I was excited to see what they’ve been up to.
The team behind the publication has been working for a couple of months. Finally, all those long hours, crazy meetings, fittings, castings, and everything in between are about to pay off. The first issue of The Style Manual is ready to be touched by the stylish, fashion-hungry “Dallasites” gens.
The soiree was held at Circuit 12 Contemporary, featuring beats by Dj Sober. The crowd was a happy-go-lucky mix of young fashionistas, and, in the center of the Gallery you could delight your eyes with an oversized edition of the first issue.
Described as “the only one of its kind in the Dallas market,” the publication will be available every two months. Among the content you’ll see is fashion, new media, and art for the modern man. It seems promising, and I look forward to the next issues. I just hope it doesn’t turn into one of those “magazines” where all you can see and read between the lines is advertisement.
