So I was in Antwerp a while back shooting an episode of Bump.  Great town by the way and their Pride celebration in June is supposed to be Bel(gium)issimo… but that’s distracting from my point about growing old(er).

So I was in Antwerp and of course part of the show is to do something er… athletic.  The week before it was Ju Jitsu in London and prior to that it was some beach running in Tel Aviv.  Well Antwerp I thought I’d get rough and tough and play some Badminton… but not just any badminton of course.  Gay Badminton.  Just what makes Badminton gay?

Oh, I don’t know… maybe this…

Or this…

And of course you know if it’s gay I’m going to adore it.  And I do.  I mean look at those cute little white shorts.  I decided to go play I had to come up with a smashing ensemble of my own.  Yes, that is a canary tennis sweater which I later casually tied around my shoulders as I played… apologize but no photo of that fashion mess.  Not sure why folks do that?  Is it to keep the shoulders warm and prevent a pulled muscle?

What I wish is that I had worn long pants or sweater pants or maybe just leg warmers because while trying to prove my athletic prowess I dove like the lion cat that I am for a birdie and pulled some muscle behind my knee… which had me wearing a knee brace and doing the rest of the Antwerp episode seated… embarrassing.  I think that is also part of getting a (little) older!  We did have a fantastic time though – look at these happy shining people!

If you’re planning on being in Antwerp for Pride in June and want to get active and creative with badminton fashion – they have open drop ins for tourists of all persuasions… LGBTQStraight!

SHARP LEFT Segué…

So we’re in the final stages of negotiating our distribution deals for film Judas Kiss.

One of the aspects that made working on the film so great was getting to meet Richard Harmon, the young actor who will be playing a younger version of someone close to me in the film… That’s all I’ll say right now but it was a pleasure to meet the talented guy and I look forward to working with him.  He also happens to be from Vancouver and is currently starring in the TV series, The Killing.

Of course Richard isn’t the only young buck who’ll be challenging me for the spotlight… there’s also Timo Descamps who is really tough to look at…

And also the incomparable Brent Corrigan…  cutie.

So I figured I needed to start growing my Zac Efron hair out so I can match the cutie-patootie factor of these youngsters and I tried, I did try!!

Okay, actually that was just the wind in Caesarea, Israel… but it’s almost an homage to King Zac(harias).  Mostly I wanted to show you this picture to prove I am most definitely NOT a size queen… not like my director, she most definitely is.
