When The Underwear Expert thinks “animal prints,” we don’t necessarily picture pairs that adopt the feathers and fur of wildlife. Sure, that’s what comes to mind first, but there are different kinds of animal prints roaming the wild world of men’s underwear. Some create patterns and prints with the animals themselves rather than their stripes or spots. Others use a bold animal graphic for a pair that’s unique and stylishly asymmetrical.
Jerrad Matthew chose wildly sexy model Blake Postma for The Underwear Expert’s exclusive animal prints photo shoot. He wears 11 different pairs, a few of which herd your average animal prints to new ground.
Funky Trunks and Mitch Dowd both feature with animal prints that are less realistic and more cartoonish. The Funky Trunks Bad Boy Boxer has a pop-art style design with a bulldog wearing a police officer’s hat. It’s contemporary with a little edge, which is a close opposite of Mitch Dowd’s Stripe Loose Fit Knit Boxer.
Much more innocent, the boxer has a light blue body, wide stripes, and a cartoon monkey that looks a little shocked. Maybe he caught Funky Trunk’s bulldog doing something he shouldn’t have been? If so, he should tell the tiger on Croota’s Tiger Contrast Boxer Brief.
The design has a no-nonsense style that’s wildly attractive, not only through Croota’s ultra modern boxer brief cut, but through its striking asymmetrical graphic. In its darker grey version, the Croota Tiger Contrast Boxer Brief has a white tiger that wraps around the right leg, starting from the center front and carrying over to the rear. This is an especially appropriate pair if your inner-animal happens to be a beast.
