When I found this music video press release in my inbox I mustered a bit of an eye roll at the introduction for the press release: Cazwell tackles the U.S. debt crisis. I mean what words of wisdom would Cazwell have to say about the U.S. debt crisis that would actually mean anything of consequence. However, he actually makes some really decent points. When you think about it, the most glamorous gays in the room are always the ones asking you to spot them for booze money or cover the cab. The video is totally hilarious and I love the fact that his costar, Cherie Lily, is hella pregnant in a pair of red bottoms. It’s a really realistic portrayal of the american dream and our aspirations for awesomeness.
That being said, isn’t Cazwell gay? Why on earth is he surrounded by women in the video? I understand that half naked women are part of the rap aesthetic but making them a necessity even when the rapper “don’t roll like dat” is an act of misogyny that can’t be passed off as sexuality. I preferred when he had all the hot naked guys in his videos, that’s just me.
