What’s better than a “Wicked” anti-bullying fundraiser with a talk-back by Dan Savage after the show? An additional appearance by hetero heartthrob Ben Cohen. Both men have teamed up for a one night only, October 11, New York benefit (National Coming Out Day), to help combat bullying. Proceeds from the show will go to Savage’s The It Gets Better Project and Cohen’s The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation.

From the press release: “In its ongoing efforts to combat bullying, the hit Broadway musical Wicked will host an event on Thursday, October 11, featuring two leaders in the worldwide campaign to bring an end to bullying: Ben Cohen, MBE, founder of The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation, and Dan Savage, co-founder of The It Gets Better Project. Mr. Cohen and Mr. Savage will be joined by members of the Wicked company for a post-performance talk-back to discuss what can be done to help stop the prevalence of bullying.”

No word yet as to what Cohen will be wearing, but we wouldn’t kick him out of Oz for eating a Munchkin cracker.
