‘Gravity’ Floats To Top Of The Box Office

Did everyone see Gravity this weekend? While the rave reviews got me excited, I couldn’t help but prepare myself with the idea that I might leave underwhelmed. I have to say, though, after clutching my date’s hand for the last 20 minutes, filled with anxiety and terror, it’s not surprising that the film was the number one movie this weekend, making around $55 million, according to Variety. It also broke a bunch of records, making it the largest opening for an October movie, and even giving Sandra Bullock and George Clooney their biggest box office numbers to date. Which seems like a lie because didn’t everyone see The Proposal eight times in theatres, or was that just me? Watch the trailer, below.
