It’s the first day of summer, and we all know what that means: Gay Pride! Okay, it means other things too, but here in New York it’s all people talk about—oh, and some crazy rich woman naming her baby North West. That’s not hard news so much as it is “hard to take” news.

Before we get to the Big Apple (another crazy celebrity offspring name), let’s hit the Windy City of Chicago, where GuySpy’s taking part in the annual Pride Fest celebrations this weekend. Join GuySpy Events Manager and real-life virgin Scott Bolton at the Fusion Radio Booth, where lots of good stuff will be given away. Make sure you ask “Scotness” about his layout in American Eros, by Mark Henderson. It looks like he might have a tool for signing.

“Hi, I’m Scott, and I’ll be your servicer today.”

In London? Tomorrow is the big Clapham Street Party, from 2 p.m. until pass-out time. (So, like sunset?). Our own Danny Hilton is performing, and he must have been practicing good and hard because he’s been experiencing an extraordinary amount of sore throats of late. I just hope that hasn’t kept him from practicing for the show! Click here for details.

“I never go anywhere without my under-water cameraman!”

In New York, Pride is still a week off, but it’s never too early to get tickets to Matinee New York Pride 2013 at Governors Island. The event/party/concert on a teensy island just off the tip of Manhattan is one of the most fun Pride events I’ve ever attended, especially as it gets dark and those sweeping downtown Manhattan views sparkle across the water. A ferry takes you to and from, and, quite often, will make out with you later! For tickets, click here. Super promoter Len Evans refused to tell me who the big surprise guest is for the night, so if you wanna know, try emailing him at (And say “hi.”)header_image

If you’re interested in something a little more physically challenging than picking which bartender is most likely to take your phone number, you might try the Out-Fit Challenge, on June 29 in Tuxedo Ridge, New York. The first ever LGBT National Mud Run features 15-plus military-style obstacles that may include mud, water, and ice. Race waves begin every 20 minutes, and it’s all for a good cause. For more information, click here.

Of course, what would Pride Month, or summer, be without Madonna! And you can watch the MDNA tour starting June 22 on EpixHD. Admit it, you’re gonna get a trial subscription and tune in. She sings, she dances, she shoots, she struts, and she’s got a killer bod. In other words, she is Gay Pride. Click here.
