Looks like GaGa’s little monsters couldn’t outdo Katy Perry’s “Roar.” While  The Lady’s “Applause” was released soon after Katy Perry’s new song, Billboard reports that the two singles are expected to have very different first week sales. By the end of the week, Katy Perry’s brand new single, “Roar,” will have sold close to 525,000 to 550,000 digital downloads – a much bigger number to Lady GaGa’s lead single,”Applause,” which is still expected to sell close to 200,000 to 250,000 copies.

While Katy is the clear winner in this round, the real showdown is expected to occur when the two ladies release their new albums. Perry’s Prism will be released October 22nd while Lady GaGa’s ARTPOP is set for a release on November 11th. There will be blood. And auto-tune. Listen to the two new songs and place your bets.
