Stuart Reardon All… Year… Long!
Just when you thought the 2014 calendar season couldn’t get hotter or hunkier, Stuart Reardon’s 12-month photo album drops, like the homoerotic photo equivalent of Beyoncé’s visual album.
The rugby star/fitness model/gay ally/tattooed god/British stud/”Can we just talk about his ass?!” Brit has teamed up with uber photographer Rick Day for a collection of photos so sexy you’re going to be steaming hot no matter what day of the year it is.
The “Rear Don” spoke to me briefly about the calendar, his gay fans, and keeping those buns in top form. Now I have 12 more reasons to love Stuart!
David Toussaint: With so many calendars out there, is it hard to find something different?
Stuart Reardon: It’s a competitive market, like anything else. This is my first one, so depending on how well it does will determine whether I do another one the following year.
DT: Why do you think gay men love straight sports figures so much? And why British athletes?
SR: Tough Question. Maybe because athletes are always in great shape to be able to compete at a high level in sport. Why British? Maybe the accent…
DT: Do you like having so many gay fans?
SR: I like all my fans. I think we all want to be liked in this world in whatever career path we choose. Someone’s sexual preference or sexuality doesn’t really come into it for me.
DT: What’s your favorite body part?
SR: On me? I’ve got good legs from playing rugby from such a young age.
DT: When people see your calendar they are going to see a lot of your butt, among other things, and they are not going to complain. Did you have to be convinced you had a great body or have you always known it?
SR: My body looks how it does from how hard I train and from the tough sport I’ve dedicated my life to. I know I’m in good shape because I’m still playing and training hard. I don’t think anyone would even consider buying my calendar if I wasn’t? Would they? Ha!
DT: Anything you want to say to gay athletes who are on their way to the Sochi Olympics?
SR: To athletes who are competing, Good luck. They have dedicated the last four years of their lives training hard, all for this chance to represent their country and compete at the highest level. Don’t let the small-minded people put you off your goals. I wish them every success on and of the field. Peace. Stu…
