“I hope Elton doesn’t get mad at me for having more number one albums than he does.”

Madonna leads us off once again, as “MDNA” went number one in the UK on its first week of release and is set to hit the top spot in the United States—that’s five consecutive No. 1s and eight in total. The album sold 350,000 copies on its first day of sales in the United States, higher than 2008’s “Hard Candy,” which sold 280,000 units. In the UK, Madonna broke more records, with “MDNA” being her Madgesty’s 12th number one album, topping Elvis Presley’s 11, and making M the most successful solo artist in British music history. Not bad for that old “flash in the pan.”

I’m a Sinner…

In related guy gone wild news, Pat Robertson claims that homosexuals are possessed by the devil. The Talibangelist who’s allowed to vote and drive cars made this comment on The 700 Club. We have the clip here.

Turn Up the Radio…

I love Cuban Gay Pride. Can’t wait till we can go there legally.

Some Girls…

Everyone’s favorite psychopath, Rick Santorum, told a kid on the campaign trail he was not to use a pink bowling ball, saying “Friends don’t let friends use pink bowling balls.” That brings back so many memories of when I was a kid and told not to do “girlie” things, you know, right before the guys beat my brains out. Thanks, Rick! Here’s the story.

I Don’t Give A…

Lady GaGa had a birthday.

Love Spent…

One of the most ironic and gut-wrenching stories this week involves the suicide of gay therapist and self-help guru Bob Bergeron, who had just finished The Right Side of Forty: Happiness for Gay Men at Midlife and Beyond before his death. The publication of the book has since been canceled, and when the body was discovered at the author’s home, they found a copy of the book with the words “It’s a lie based on bad information,” scribbled by Bergeron, with an arrow pointing toward the title. Read about it here.

Gang Bang…

On a brighter note, in response to the attack on women, many female legislators have come up with some wonderful bills aimed at men. We here at GuySpy love our gals, and that’s why they’re this week’s Guyding Lights! We think what you’re doing is a Masterpiece.
